PKD TRUST

Disha is run by P.K.D. Educational Trust managed by a highly educated team of Trustees who serve the cause of education with dedication and commitment of a true educator, headed by Chairman Dr.D.Muthukumarasamy, an eminent physician in Pollachi, in memory of his father, Late Sri P.K. Dharmalingam Gounder, a legendary household name of Pollachi known for compassion and philanthropy.
Another celebrated milestone of the Trust is P.K.D. Matriculation Higher Secondary School incepted in 1992. The school has spearheaded from a meagre strength of 10 teachers and 250 students to nurture education of more than 2000 students with 100 staff members on rolls. It is a co-ed day cum residential school, with classes from KG to XII, which has enjoyed a prominence unsurpassed till date for its quality.

“Education is the ability to meet Life’s Expectations”; A simple but very meaningful reference by Dr. Dale Carnegie. This has been the guiding principle for us at DISHA – A Life School.

The school was developed by P.K.D Trust with its infra, faculty, grounds and system all curated to provide a true holistic education.

To teach our children foundation and concepts of advanced curriculum and inspire them to be curious to learn further.
To motivate them to learn a sport and train them with professional coaches so they can play the sport for life.
Show them the wonders of art and tap into their creativity and help them express the beauty of this world in their unique ways.
To provide an expansive green campus, which will inspire our children to be the foremost stewards of our environment.

I would like to extend an open invitation to the parents to visit the campus and join us in our pursuit of a true holistic education.
